Hope S. Cunningham transferred from Magistrate Court to Probate Court in 2004 as a Deputy Clerk and then she was appointed as Chief Clerk in 2017.  Mrs. Cunningham is responsible for filing and processing all court documents as well as assisting Judge Thornton with preparing court orders and various court documents.  Mrs. Cunningham also processes weapons carry license, marriage license, pick-up orders, birth and death certificates and assist the general public. 

Mrs. Cunningham has lived in Wayne County her entire life and she is married to Shon Cunningham of Jesup and has two sons, Noah & Jace Cunningham.  Mrs. Cunningham is an active member of Little Creek Baptist Church where she serves along with her family.  Mrs. Cunningham enjoys meeting the public and helping people in a time of need.
